Hey there, I’m Pete. I like to sew and I like to help other people sew. I guess you could say I’m a passionate sewist and a clothing alterations expert. I’ve hemmed sew many pairs of pants and yes, I’ll hem yours too (but only with your consent). My super power is suit tailoring, but I’m also a pretty great teacher and I can teach you to sew if you’d like.

Whether it’s hemming, tailoring, or giving an old favourite a fresh new look, I’m here to help you feel amazing in your clothes. Drop in any time from Tuesday to Saturday, 10am - 4pm to chat about your clothes and pat the dog.
Learn to sew
Pete Sews offers a range of workshops for people young and old so you can learn the craft of sewing, make or mend your own wears and look cool. Sewing is cool. Be cool.
Join the community sewing room
Want to do some sewing but don’t have a machine? Got a machine but there’s too much crap on the kitchen table? The community sewing room is for you. Pete is around to help you with your technique, and he has simple projects to help you practise your skills.

Need an alteration or repair in a hurry? Our Swift Tailoring service can help you out. The standard turnaround time for Pete's services is currently one week. If you need your pants hemmed or your favourite skirt repaired quickly, Pete can help you. Additional fees apply for the swifties. Two-day and same-day turnaround options available.
Pat a dog
Archie is super friendly and sometimes a little chatty. He watches the world from his window throne and will welcome you at the door. He loves being a Shop Dog because he meets so many friends.
