The Pete Sews studio is available for use by enthusiastic community members during open hours. Bring your projects, fabrics and fabulousness, and use my space and equipment to bring your wildest sewing dreams to life.
I have four new, electronic domestic sewing machines that are simple and safe to use, with a low risk of tangles and issues. There is a large cutting table, scissors, tools and a huge range of thread colours! There is hot tea. There is a kind dog. Need I a say more?
Cost
$35 for 2 hours of stitching bliss
$60 for a full day that’s sew good you’ll want to do it all the time
No booking required, just show up and sew!
And my advice (solicited/unsolicited) is free!
Private Sewing Lessons & Tuition
Have a sewing machine but no idea how to use it? Have you got some sewing skills but want to improve? Are you frustrated with one aspect of your sewing? Do you accidentally stitch your sewing projects to your lap?
I can help you hone your skills with Private Sewing Tuition.
Come and visit my Community Sewing Room to work on my machines. We’ll focus on whatever skills you would like to develop or whatever projects you would like to complete. You are also welcome to bring your own machine if you’d prefer. And if your project is still stitched to your pants on arrival, we promise not to laugh. We’ll just pour you a cup of tea and hand you the quick-unpick.
Cost
$140 per hour
$180 per hour for up to four participants.
Bookings are essential.
